Our Parish

Pantry: For the month of August, the Padre Pio Ministry is collecting various breakfast foods. Suggested items include cereals, oatmeal, grits, pancake or muffin mixes, syrup, bacon, sausages, milk, eggs, etc. Canned vegetables, pastas, and peanut butter are always appreciated as well. Items may be placed in the bin at the entrance to the church. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. In July, we gave out 26 containers of food and several bags of clothes.

Signed into law by Governor Kay Ivey on March 7, 2024, the CHOOSE Act makes refundable income tax credits available in an educational savings account (ESA) to pay up to $7,000 of tuition and related educational expenses beginning in the 2025-26 school year. The CHOOSE Act could have a significant impact on the enrollment and finances of Catholic schools. Attached is a flyer summarizing the details of the legislation.
