Youth Group

Mission: To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today and to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.

Youth Group is for teens in grades 6th through 12th.  Meetings are on Wednesday nights during the school year. 

We encourage the teens to attend Wednesday evening mass at 6:00 PM.

Dinner is provided at 7:00 PM in the Family Life Center, followed by faith building games and discussions encouraging teens to grow in their faith through worship, fellowship and service.  Weekly Activities may include: Peer Faith Talks, Peer led discussion groups, and games.

Worship Activities include: Mass, monthly Adoration and Confession.

Special Activities may include: Guest Speakers, off campus activities, retreats, Faith Building Retreats and Fellowship may include: Archdiocese Search Retreat, ACYC (Archdiocese Youth Conference) Retreat, March for Life in Washington D.C., and missions trips to various locations.

Service Opportunities and Fellowship may include: Altar servers, Lectors, Mary’s Haven, Humane Society of Autauga County, and Gillespie Center Meal’s Program for the Elderly, Marbury Nun’s Service Projects, Seminarian Service projects, and mission trip opportunities. Also: teen aides during Religious Education Classes and Vacation Bible School, decorating the Church for Christmas, Living Stations of the Cross, and helping with our other various parish ministries.

Adult Volunteers: Help is needed with food preparation on Wednesday evenings. Adults are also needed for small group discussions. These adults MUST be CAPP trained through the Archdiocese of Mobile.
